Congratulations Card

With wintery weather forecasted, this is a perfect time to do some blogging. "If" I had made a New Year's resolution, it would be to blog more often. So, having said that ...
I must brag on my upline, Claudia Perry. I have learned so much from her and she is always there when I need her. I've been a very needy demonstrator since March.

This card is the result of a card Claudia shared with her downlines. I've cased her use of Window Sheets.
A 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" window sheet is folded in half. The front is embossed using the Textured Impression folder - Elegant Lines. I attached Stampin Up rosettes and pearls to the embossed front. The layered inside of card (Very Vanilla and Elegant Eggplant cardstock) was attached to the back of window sheet using mini glue dots. "Congratulations" was stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink.

First Snow

I designed this card with vision of snow in Columbus, Georgia. This is a rare event in our area. When we get snow flurries, it practically shuts the city down. During Christmas, we got snow (actually covered the ground) and I missed it all because I was out of town. Maybe I should design another "snow" card. They are predicting snow Sunday and I'm staying home.

Crumb Cake cardstock was used for the card. I cut a "window" in the card front using the Top Note die cut. A window was created with vellum stamped with "snowflakes" . The inside of the card can be seen through the "window". I used Marina Mist and Whisper White cardstock on the inside. The tree and red bird were from the Season of Friendship stamp set. I sprinkled glitter to the snow on the tree and ground to add dimension.

Decking the Halls for the Holidays

Stampin' Up has provided the perfect opportunity for you to decorate a house (6¼” X 6”X 5”) creatively for … Halloween, Christmas, and the four seasons. Let your imagination be your guide. My house is a gingerbread house with a hint of snow.  Can you smell the gingerbread? No, but you could put a gingerbread scented room freshener inside…instant gingerbread smells!  What about a tea light to give the inside a warm glow.

Thanksgiving is on the Horizon

Thanksgiving is here and I must share my pumpkins. I was so excited when I discovered the "Season of Thanks" vinyl decor element pieces in the Stampin' Up 2010 Definitely Decorative catalog. I recommend this easy to do decoration.
"Season of Thanks" Lettering
Small 7 5/8" X 12"    $14.95
Black  114887
Chocolate  114883

Medium  13" X 20 1/2"    $19.95

Ordering is easy, too! Click on my shop link and purchase using the item numbers above. The pumpkins are not available through Stampin Up. I purchased my "artifical" pumpkins at Hobby Lobby when they went on sale. You may still be able to find pumpkins among all of the Christmas decorations.

Happy Thanksgiving!
